Theater in the Alleys of Yemin Moshe
The childhood neighborhood of Jack Shvili serves as the setting for a street theater, which takes place in the alleys of Yemin Moshe. The performance revives past games, songs, sounds and memories. The plot follows the traces of Mrs. Gabbai - a unique and mysterious character who knew how to control seasons and alter moods.
Jack Shvili, together with Avi Cohen, combine acting, puppets' manipulation, songs and stories, in a unique and original theater.

"If you want to treat yourself with a special pastime, run to the show "Where is Mrs. Gabbai", which ... offers a detective challenge and street games. ... a wonderful show ... The whole show takes place while touring the alleys of the neighborhood, and during the show the audience is exposed to a huge variety of theatrical means, street games, pleasant tasks, and even nostalgic historical knowledge about the neighborhood ... Jack and Avi connect us in a direct way to their and our childhood memories, infect us with their joy of life, while at the same time present us theatrical wealth, exposure to knowledge, and mainly lots of real fun." - Rachel Elgim, City Mouse On-Line editorial, August 9, 2007 (translation)
From the audience:
"To the staff of the Train Theater, and especially to the wonderful actors of "Where is Mrs. Gabbai?" -
We would like to thank you all, from the depth of our hearts, for a wonderful Friday afternoon, in which we celebrated with you the 70th birthday of Mother/Grandma Edith Shakked.
All of us, from little to big, from 2 to 72 years old, enjoyed every moment with the wonderful, talented actors of "Where is Mrs. Gabbai?". The show is very recommended to every family, and for the whole family: We laughed, were moved, saw our parents in their best moments, saw our children curious and cooperative, and got the opportunity to walk around the neighborhood of Yemin Moshe in Jerusalem.
It was a unique experience. We are happy to recommend it deeply.

"It was great fun for us adults, as much as for the children. You've made our Friday afternoon an enjoyable experience for the whole family. Thank you so much." Dalit, 28.11.07 (translation)
