Based on the ramayana. Prince rama commands Hanuman, the white monkey, to travel to Lanka to find Ravana, king of the demons. Hanuman is sent to search for the prince's wife, the Princess Sita, who has been abducted. Upon his arrival i Lanka, Hanuman findes the princess but becomes involved in a battle that ends with the burning of Lanka. The play is inspired by the ancient tradition of Indonesian stick puppets from Java, the islands of Wayang, combining music with original Indonesian puppets. This is a unique play, putting the audience into the atmosphere of the far eastern culture.
