Pop-up Workshop
Hila FlashkesEvery year, an interdisciplinary artist designs the Khan Theater Courtyard, the beating heart of the festival, and holds a workshop for the public. Hila Flashkes, an interdisciplinary artist and creator of “Why Did the Fish Cry?” for the Train Theater, was chosen as this year’s designer and plans to fill the courtyard with colorful mobiles, an abundance of squares, circles and colorful shapes.
The courtyard will host the Safari Paper Pop-up Workshop where children can create their own stories inspired by the world of fairs, carousels, monsters, unusual animals, funny shapes and more.
