Welcome to the International Puppet Festival in Jerusalem!
The Festival, held in our eternal and inspiring capital of Jerusalem, magnetically attracts everyone, both children and adults. In every one of us lives an inner child who is ready to laugh and cry along with the animated puppets.
The Festival reflects faithfully my belief that culture is a bridge between people and nations. The multifaceted nature of the performances, cooperation between Jews and Arabs, visiting performers from many countries, and the meeting of artists from different parts of Israel and around the world brings to life the words of the famous Walt Disney song, “It’s a small world after all.”
The Festival takes place in a number of venues around Jerusalem, along with the fairground of the imagination “Luuuna Park”, located in Liberty Bell Park. The Festival’s accessibility to the wider public realizes my vision to make culture and art available in Israel’s urban spaces.
I want to warmly thank the CEO of the Train Theater, Dalia Yaffe-Maayan, Artistic Director Shahar Marom, the Festival’s directors and producers, Yael Maimoni and Dani Fishof, and everyone involved in creating together this joyously animated event.
