Wast el-Tariq (Middle of the Road) is an Israeli-Palestinian group that was formed in 2011 by residents of both east and west Jerusalem. Their purpose is to send a message of peace, understanding and dialogue through music.
The group combines traditional Arabic music with classic Hebrew songs, alongside original work. Their performances are accompanied by traditional Middle Eastern and Western musical instruments, electronic beat instruments, and song, in a vibrant chafla atmosphere that brings people and cultures closer together.
